WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade items increases the item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level upgrade level, but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other items. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays an item's preview when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current level of the item level Upgrade, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This is to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they only have one use. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
